The club decided to tour in 2008 to this country after Portugal´s impressive and brave display at the Rugby World Cup 07 in France. For Portuguese rugby it was an opportunity to see one of the most prestigious invitational club sides in the world. Crawshays normally play in their sides a mix of seasoned internationals, and promising youngsters. The club took a total of 50 players from the U12s and U14s age groups. Overall the tour was a huge success since the moment of arrival. After checking-in at their Youth Hostel in the centre of Bath the players were welcomed by Bath Rugby community head coach who run them through a couple of hours of drills and ball in hand exercises.
