The Municipal Stadium has the perfect technical conditions for sports training camps, football soccer camps in particular. Built as an official training facility for the Euro 2004, this venue was used as a base during the Euro 2004 by the Latvian National Football Soccer team. The facility was also used by the Danish National Football Soccer team during the Euro 2006 U21, which was also held in Portugal.

The stadium is certified by UEFA, which is the equivalent of a traditional tourist certification and guarantees the quality of the sporting facilities available.
